AUL is Live with Online Access!

OneAmerica’s new online disability claims feature provides you with direct access to both Disability Claim Reports as well as Disability Tax Reports.

All new claims received by OneAmerica beginning June 28, are available to view online. The reporting for claims received by OneAmerica prior to June 28, will continue to be available just as you are currently receiving it. For a short time, you will need to access reporting through both avenues, until all claims are migrated to the new claims platform.

This reporting is available currently only for employers or employers’ authorized representatives. The reports are not available currently for employee access for individual claims.

With the appropriate authorization in place, you as the employer or employer representative are now able to access Disability Claim Reports yourself anytime. The same reporting information you may be accustomed to is still available, with the addition of some new reports and information as well! The following reports are available for your direct access:

  • Claim Status – all claims
  • Claim Detail – all claims
  • Payment
  • Closed
  • Premium Waiver
  • EOB Weekly Paid
  • Sick Pay
  • FUTA/SUTA
  • Policyholder Annual Statement

How to Access eBen

If you are a registered eBen user, navigate to: www.employeebenefits.aul.com and log in using your User ID and Password.

How to Access Disability Reporting for New Claims Received Beginning June 28

After logging into eBen, navigate to and select My Employees, and then select Disability Claim Reporting. From here, select the report you want to view. The Disability Tax Reports are available under this view. These reports are static and available for selection based upon certain dates contained within the view. The Disability Claim Reports are located under Policyholder Reports. From here, select the report you wish to view. These reports provide claim information as of prior day. For more details on how to access the various reports, please review the Policyholder Guide to access the step-by-step guide and an explanation of each report.

If you are not already a registered eBen user and need access to Disability Claim Reporting, authorization must first be provided by the authorized employer representative to ensure OneAmerica maintains confidentiality.

OneAmerica Offers Option to Submit Disability Claims Online

OneAmerica employers and employees now have the ability to submit disability claim forms online. The fillable PDF claim forms has been updated to a user-friendly, online DocuSign tool. For those who would like to continue using the fillable PDF form, this option is still available.

Benefits of the new Online Disability Claim submission process include:

  • Improved customer experience by allowing electronic signature capabilities.
  • Increased accuracy and in good order claims submissions resulting from required input fields.
  • Improved claims processing turnaround times from receipt to decision.
  • Consist execution with the OneAmerica Employee Benefits Life and Disability form(s)

Enhanced Access to Disability Reporting Coming to the OneAmerica Employee Benefits Portal

In the upcoming weeks, OneAmerica is launching an enhanced disability claim system platform. The added features will provide your employee benefits clients with new online access to disability claim and tax accounting reports within the Employee Benefits portal (eBen). 

As part of OneAmerica’s ongoing efforts to make it easier and more convenient for your employer clients to access their disability claim and tax accounting reports, this addition provides a more streamlined and direct anytime self-service access to the claim information they depend on. These enhancements will also provide them with added flexibility and the ability to keep the information they need in one location within the eBen portal.

Clients will continue to have access to all the same reporting information that they do today, with the addition of some new reports and information as well.

If they are receiving disability claim reports from their Account Managers today, they will now have direct self-serve access. Below are some highlights of the new reporting features that will be available to your clients soon:

Sick Pay, FUTA/SUTA and Annual Policyholder reports will also now be available on eBen.

Access to Disability Claim & Tax Reporting in eBen

In the upcoming weeks, OneAmerica will be providing your clients with additional details on how they can access these reports. In preparation for these additional features, and because OneAmerica values the privacy of your employee information, authorized individuals must be designated by the policyholder to be granted reporting access. Policyholders only need to do so if they want access to this online reporting feature.

  • New users who need access to reporting: If there are individuals who have not been previously authorized to receive reporting, and your clients would like them to have access to this new reporting feature, they may do so by completing the Contact Information Change Form for Group Insurance Policyholders. This form will need to be completed and signed by the authorized employer representative.
  • Changes or updates to previously authorized users: Users who need to make updates to their contact details by either removing a previously authorized contact or adding a new contact can complete the new Contact Information Change Form for Group Insurance Policyholders.

This Change Form will need to be completed and signed by the authorized employer representative. The change form cannot be accepted from a user that is not the policyholder. This action is required to grant reporting access.

Clients only need to complete the change form if they either need to provide new access or change access to disability claim reporting. If they are not receiving claim reporting today and/or do not need access, they do not need to complete the form.

OneAmerica Teamed Up with iHR to Service Employee Benefits Clients

OneAmerica recently announced a new digital platform to provide customers of its employee benefits line of business with an online benefit enrollment and administration platform. As many employers quickly transitioned to virtual work environments, the need for an anytime, anywhere benefit enrollment option for their employees was amplified.

Integrated HR Systems LLC (iHR) of Columbus, Ohio, provides an easy-to-navigate, mobile-friendly system that walks employees through the process of comparing coverage options, electing their benefits and designating beneficiaries.

For employers, iHR provides a single portal, giving them the ability to manage elections, billing options, employee changes and reporting with increased accuracy and efficiency on group and voluntary life and disability products. These types of foundational benefits equip employees and their families with financial protection during life’s most difficult times.

NOTE: OneAmerica is expanding their Group Contact Center hours beginning May 1. Their new hours will be 8:00 am to 6:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday.
