Updates Regarding the UnitedHealthcare Ohio Chamber MEWA

New May 2020 UnitedHealthcare Sales Bonus

UnitedHealthcare (UHC) is offering a bonus to agents who sell the new Ohio Chamber Health Benefit Plan MEWA medical plans with effective dates in May 2020. Agents must sell at least two new MEWA groups during the bonus period in order to be eligible for the bonus. Eligible agents will receive a bonus of $50 for each enrolled employee in eligible medical groups sold during the bonus period. Click here for more information.

Updated Quote and Install Checklist

Click here for the quote and install checklist, which has all information and documentation that is needed to both quote and install groups in the Ohio Chamber MEWA. Note that documents are embedded on the “paperclip.” UHC has also added the Renewal Verification Form as a required document for installation. Please use this checklist going forward.

$100 Membership Discount Extended Through 8/31

The Ohio Chamber has extended their membership discount of $100 for enrolling MEWA groups through the end of August.

120-Day Applications Permitted for May 1, 2020

UHC will allow applications to be dated within 120 days of the effective date for both the MEWA and All Savers for May 1, 2020, effective dates.

Current Underwriting Turnaround Time

Three to five days from submission.
